- another dull, damp start to the day - pretty much the same as yesterday actually -

that while we were in Kent last week, his daughter & sister arranged a secret birthday gathering for him (well, it was a BIG birthday!) as a total surprise - he thought he & Gerry were going to the local pub for a meal with his parents and when they walked in there were around 20 of us waiting to sing 'Happy Birthday'

It turned into a lovely evening in the company of friends, giving Dave & I an opportunity to 'catch up' on gossip and the like
-and the food wasn't bad either-
