It's a gorgeous day today - must be my birthday!

Dave brought me breakfast in bed today - warm croissants & fresh strawberries - he asked if I wanted champagne as well - but I declined thinking perhaps it was just a tad too early :0)

He took me out for lunch to a very prestigious hotel in Woodhall Spa (I'll not name names!) - which as it turned out was a complete farce and a great disappointment :( We waited for more than three quarters of an hour to be served (after taking our order) and then they brought us the wrong meals!!
What really added salt to the wound was the fact that another couple who arrived after us had already eaten two of their courses before they'd even got our main right & on the table. Then the beef (Dave) & lamb (me) wasn't even that great.
Needless to say - we'll not be going there again -

We then went for a lovely country drive around the Lincolnshire wolds - so the whole day wasn't a waste
...And of course - I was with the one I love - so it really wasn't all bad - was it??
