...I Can't Stop Knitting...!

Everytime I sit down even for a few minutes I feel the urge to pick up the pins & knit.  I've been producing baby/toddler hats, iphone/mp3 sock covers & mug wraps/cosies by the score in all colours and knitting yarns and I really have to sell a few   --  so take a look at my knitted things

Another grotty day without the sun showing it's head again :( 

But to REALLY cheer up the day - the bosses bought a gorgeous eight week old pup this morning - a Cairn Terrier & Jack Russell cross - and of course she is SOOO cute - they're calling her Poppy

...I could have easily hidden her in my cardigan and brought her home with me...

Dave would have sent her straight back though...as he thinks dogs are and I quote 'Shit Machines'

Dave & I went to the Fireworks last night - typical for the weather to let me down! - and it was pretty good to be honest but by far the best bit - for me at least - was the Lancaster bomber 'Just Jane' taxiing down the runway - it was awesome..the absolute power of it...and I don't even like planes  --  never, ever been in one and hopefully never will....Dave & I have just never felt the urge to fly.

But it doesn't stop me appreciating the strength of it and the suffering that the men of WWII had to endure

...I'm So Lazy...

I'm in a really lazy mood today - we were suppose to be going into Horncastle today - small market town 9 miles from here - but I just can't be arsed! 

And we are suppose to be going to a firework display in the village this evening - but I can't be arsed! 

And to be honest I'm hoping that it'll rain this afternoon/evening so that Dave won't be arsed either :)

....but I just bet that when you want a nice heavy downpour - it won't happen...

...Back To It...

Well!  had my day off yesterday - be it with a headache - and today I was back to it and to be honest it seemed as if I'd been away for a week not just a day!

But it was nice to be welcomed back with open arms - I can tell they missed me even if I've been on catch up all day :D

...Sympathy Please, I'm Poorly...

I didn't go into work as I woke up with a really bad head - I did get ready though & even had the car keys in my hand ready to leave before I decided that I wouldn't go in...so I was a bit of a hero, don't you think?...

  Then spent the rest of the morning all snuggled in bed until a cotton-pigging jet whooshed passed at a zillion miles an hour & made me wake up with a massive jolt  --  needless to say it didn't help the situation - but by mid afternoon I was up & about again & now Face-Booking & blogging so I must feel better :D
