dry, bright but chilly
Yesterday, Dave & I went to Horncastle - a small market town 9 miles north of us - for a wander, it was mighty cold I can tell you -2c, but at least there wasn't any wind.
We took a look around the charity shops, there's a good selection there. I like charity shops & boot fayre's because you never know what you'll find, unfortunately, I didn't find any 'must have' items yesterday, so that was disappointing.

We also stopped off at Great Expectations - a collectable/junk shop - and I did pick up a tiny coloured glass pelican - my mum used to collect glass animals in the 60's.
When I saw it I thought of mum straight away and it made me smile so I had to buy it - it's now sitting in the corner of the glass cabinet that my younger brother, Tony made for us while he was still at school....about 30 years ago....with the other pieces that I 'inherited' after her death.
